 My Story

As a wellness student and teacher for over 20 years, I know on a personal level how profoundly even a few mindful, intentional, and seemingly small choices can change your life. Some years ago, I was the owner, lead teacher, and teacher trainer of a large yoga and wellness studio. We had well over a dozen practitioners and several thousand students on our roster. Additionally, as the mother of four (yes, FOUR) young boys (one of whom was an infant at the time!) I found myself drowning. Though I LOVED the community at my studio and was incredibly grateful to have built a successful business, I simply couldn’t keep up with the demands of caring for my young family, growing my business, leading my community, and doing all the other things I’d put on my plate. I grasped for time and energy anywhere I could; I stopped taking care of myself. I curtailed my own wellness practices. I barely slept. Soon enough, I was sick and anxious and completely depleted. I no longer recognized the person I saw in the mirror. Even worse, I was no longer walking my talk as a health and wellness leader. I felt like a total fraud.

It took a deep investment of my own time and energy into myself to finally get back on track. I had to make some hard choices, and I had to get very real about what I actually wanted for my life.  Luckily, I had my own network of supporters and coaches. They helped me clarify my vision, ground into practical shifts in my life, and perhaps most importantly, they held me accountable.

Now, supporting others in incorporating wellness practices into a balanced and healthy lifestyle is one of my greatest joys. I’ve had a lot of practice in learning how to create a beautiful life amongst the chaos of the world. I’ve found that embracing my strengths and learning from my challenges is an art form; but when practiced with integrity, diligence, and awareness, it is one that can be absolutely transformative. 

The programs I offer are everything I wish I would have had when I was getting serious about living a sustainable, healthy, and fulfilling lifestyle. They combine the best of evidence-based practices with the wisdom of yogic and mindfulness-centered methodologies. I am a science and psychology nerd, and I am passionate about taking the research I adoringly consume and creating practical applications for growth and transformation. Nothing thrills me more than supporting folks as they grow into the healthy and abundant lives of their dreams.

Set an Intention, Create a Vision

Before we can start a journey, we need to know where we are going. With all of my programs, whether Embodied Movement, Meditation, Health & Wellness Coaching, or Yoga, we always begin by clarifying our intentions and creating a vision of what we desire. This goal then informs every choice we make in our time together.

Pleasure, Ease, and a Sense of Harmony in Movement, Diet, and Experience Are Hallmarks of Good Health.

My goal is to help you cultivate beliefs, behaviors, and actions that create a sense of enjoyment and fulfillment in your life. You should feel a sense of intrinsic reward for and motivation toward your behaviors. THIS is how we create powerful and lasting transformations in your life.

Mindful Wellness is the practice of aligning your actions/behaviors with the way you and your fantastic body function (or aim to function) in the world.

Why Mindfulness?

It is so easy to get lost in grind culture.

We are taught to always push, always hustle, always want more. We are never enough.

In the end, the constant striving leaves us with minds that race, bodies that ache, and hearts that yearn for something vast and unnamed.

Mindfulness teaches us that, instead of living constantly in the future or past,
instead of placing our focus on what we do not yet have or what we have lost,
instead of continuously living in a place/time/situation that is not now,

we can instead choose to be present.

With presence comes choice.

We can cultivate the ability to meet this moment with safety, balance, and ease. 

We can find practices that support
truly living and enjoying and being.
